Uglers  Sports bar and general accommodation facility with the theme of "share"

Outline of work

I proceeded with my research focusing on the keyword "share". This design is a sports bar and accommodation comprehensive facility called "Uglers", a space for sharing excitement.
Sports have eternal charm, and good sports can impress people's hearts like movies. I can't forget not only seeing the goal and the moment of reversal, but also what kind of environment I saw with whom and with whom I shared the excitement. The excitement and excitement of watching a game at a sports bar is the only choice other than going to the stadium.
However, due to modern life and time difference, many overseas games are difficult to watch at the bar. It may be a richer life to watch a game in an environment where there is a lot of excitement than to go home late at night and watch sports while restraining one's feelings.
The site is a corner lot in Shibuya between the Shibuya River and Meiji Dori. By planning the architecture to be completely underground and the above-ground part as a city pocket park, we designed a place open to the city that plays more than architecture.
There are no high walls, and even when viewed from the intersection, the line of sight is clear, expanding the view of the area and sharing the scenery of the site. The roof has a slightly bulging shape and you can see the surroundings, but you can maintain its architectural presence.
By building this architecture on the land of Shibuya, I hope that the excitement of sports will be greater and that people living in modern times will be able to create richer, more wonderful and more unforgettable memories. ..

A new way to gather and live
--Proposal of a multi-generational share house in Togane City, Chiba Prefecture -

Outline of work

It can be said that in the present age when the standard family has become non-standard, how to live as an individual is being questioned. Meanwhile, the number of share houses, where individuals gather together, is increasing. By investigating the lifestyles in which individuals gather and live in modern times, we will consider the possibility of new lifestyles. We will propose a multi-generational share house that creates a community with local residents on the site of Togane City, Chiba Prefecture, where aging is a problem. The concept is "turning, developing, and changing to create between" between "." First of all, the flow line space that connects the living room and the outside, which extends to the conventional apartment house, and the common space that connects people in the share house are all regarded as "between-between" in the house, and "between-between" with different personalities. The idea of merging is changed. After that, the sequence and the development of the act are performed. The "between-between" space takes over the sequence from the city and develops in a complicated manner inside the building. By providing a pool space and setting where people's actions develop, it becomes a "between-between" where the outside and the inside and the residents are richly connected. Through such developments, a transformation will be made into a new form in which people living in multiple generations, including local residents, can live in affluent connections.

+ Α shared space

"Gather and live in the city"
People form a city by gathering and living. When there are various gatherings in a city, it naturally becomes lively and fun. Gathering and living lives with the everyday community that grows there. Moving from the city to the suburbs has left the diverse appearance of the city blank, and the bustle of the city is declining. Tokyo is no exception. The pattern of nuclear families living in one house has begun to break down, and the demand for housing for single and small family households such as singles and married couples is increasing in Tokyo today. Accepting the diversified housing composition like a "dish" I think the purpose of the share house is to live.
How to design an urban dwelling, this problem must be regarded not only as a comfortable design of the space where each family lives, but also as a matter of how to gather together to create a public urban space. In other words, I thought that an urban dwelling would create an individual life inside and a communal space outside. Generally, the composition of a share house consists of a private room and a shared space, but in order to open this shared space to the city, I combined the space that develops the outside common space in the city, and the density is limited to the limited land. I planned a "house to live in the city" where I could live a high communal life.

P + xx theory-Living with a small amount of ownership-

An apartment house that wanders in search of a place to stay. The new state of ownership, "fine ownership," gives the inhabitants many options. The spaces taken out, leaving the minimum necessary private space, freely change their appearance and color their lives as if they were alive. For working people, there are spaces that individuals want to work in and spaces that they like. If the way of living changes, the way of working will change drastically.
You may spend less time traveling. You may not even work in a fixed place every day. You may not be tied to a fixed time. It is the mechanism of residence that changes the way of working. People living in this apartment are given the right to choose their place of residence. It is the right to choose the space you like and the right to choose the space to work in. You will get a place to work, not a workplace, where you will be trapped in a fixed place for a fixed time.

We believe that this proposal has the potential to significantly change the social system in the future, and at the same time, the architectural form will change significantly in response.

Small city, big family

We propose a "small city and a large family" for various generations to live together. The residential unit is decomposed into the minimum personal space accessible from the city, and a small city, which is a large shared space, spreads beyond it. It is a state where the wall of the private room network separates a large city and a shared space like a small city. By breaking down the units of residence into individual pieces, the building creates a new sense of distance for the family while the child chooses the sense of distance from the parent in a small city. After the independence of the child, a cycle of accepting new residents will occur, supporting the system in which people of various generations live.

Large room for 300 people

We propose a one-room apartment house where 300 people gather and live.
It does not set what to share, how to share it, or the thing itself. A large studio has all the necessary things to live in, and some people may complete their lives only in this studio space. Others may want something like their whereabouts to be small, and others want to share it in this studio.
It seems that there is no longer a clear definition of living in the current social situation. For example, a person may be more attached to the desk at work than his or her home, overflowing with things, and sleeping and eating together may be an effective rhythm of life for that person. Others give each individual a bedroom, dining room, or living room in a house, such as a nap room such as a manga cafe or a family restaurant that is open 24 hours a day. The city side has begun to take charge of the living space at home, and it has begun to take root in the foundation of life. Among them, what kind of attraction exists in gathering and living with such a certain density of city dwellers?
It gives choice to something shared by the people who gather, and it's not intrusive, it's all about what you can share with others and what you want to keep in your personal realm. By combining them in various variations, rooms set as personal spaces by 300 people are stacked like a tower in each room that appears, and they are arranged in separate buildings. In GL, the above-mentioned studio space expands to almost the entire site area, and we will live while selecting a living scene while complementing each other with the laminated building and this studio.
I would like to propose an apartment house as such a new "residential body".

Yojohan x 300

While the number of elderly people is increasing, the number of single people who come to work is also increasing. A rapidly changing world is coming. Housing is required to be flexible enough to accept anyone and respond to unforeseen changes.

Therefore, we focus on the fluidity of four and a half mats, which can be made not only by setting up but also by amateurs, and propose a non-fixed apartment house consisting of 300 rooms of four and a half mats.

Yojohan plays a variety of manifestations rather than fixed values and aesthetics in the history of Japanese dwelling. While the four and a half mats will be the stage for the most sophisticated ritual of the tea room, it can also be a room in a kichin-yado apartment packed with life. Each of the four and a half mats has a different view of the world.
Also, the Yojohan scale is physical, a basic space for people to meet, talk, and get together, and is the best space for some movements. Therefore, if you open the chabudai, it will be a dining table, and if you lay a futon, it will be a bedroom. It can be used as needed.

In an apartment house consisting of four and a half mats, there are one and a half four-mat rooms where a single person lives, and six half-mat four-mat rooms where two households live. It is possible to open a new shop in a room of four and a half mats where the child leaves the house and is no longer used, or it is possible to lend it to a single person. Also, by sharing four and a half mats, you can make a toilet for a car. Depending on the situation, the room of four and a half mats will be renewed and the wasted space will be reborn as a necessary space.

It may be necessary to seek the ideal form of apartments that are fluidized with various current conditions, rather than fixed forms such as nLDK.

A house like a storage box

It's like a storage box for individuals. Take out the things you need for your life when you need them. Put yourself in your clothes and finish the day. People unravel their lives near their respective storage boxes. There are no clear boundaries. We have curry bar teas and monitor each other in the neighborhood. One box and one rental box for each couple in their 70s. My husband is a family and my wife is a violinist. Boxes for a real woman in her late 50s and her two sons, a college student. My sons often call their friends to listen to Bertie. Pox for a real woman in her late 40s and the beginning of her early 20s. My daughter is good at making maracas and curry.

Expressive house

As a result of the enrichment of society and the diversification of people's lives and hobbies, the self has been concentrated in things. We propose a house that houses those things and incorporates them as part of self-expression. We will subdivide our favorite things, memories, and things we need for our daily lives, reconstruct them as thin houses with a width of 2m, and set up a park in front of them. By thinning the dwelling, the inhabitants are closer to those things and become a place of living surrounded by their favorite things. In addition, the thin dwelling itself acts like a screen through the opening, and becomes a place to convey the individuality of the resident to the park. Here, the individuality of the inhabitants stimulates the people who come and go in the city. Eventually, it exudes to the surroundings, giving a uniform look to the city.

Algorithmic Architecture

Algorithm architecture is a design method that uses information processing technology and involves fine discrete processes with fine resolution, and redefines the relationship between nature and humans, and the relationship between nature and act = artificial construction. Nature is an infinite continuum, but when human interpretation is added to it in the process of design, it is inevitably "discretized" into finite elements. An algorithm is also a method for discretizing and understanding nature, but unlike the conventional coarse resolution discretization process up to modern times, it discretizes nature with finer resolution and nature as a continuum. It is an attempt to get as close as possible to itself.
