Things and architecture

~ Editing ~

On this page, reference works are categorized for each proposed element.

Target works are National Architecture Student Award, National Graduation Design Award, JIA Master Design Exhibition, Tokyo Architecture Collection, Sendai Design League, Ara Brick Graduation Design Exhibition, National Joint Design Exhibition, Chubu Graduation Design Exhibition, Diploma Kyoto, Design Review, Hase Ko Competition, Daiwa House Competition, ERI Student Competition, Daito Kensetsu Competition, Furic Competition, Public Space Competition. In addition, we will categorize related videos, books, magazines, and buildings, aiming to be one of the largest and most advanced architectural design platforms.

Material creation experiment  ――What do you think of architecture in which things precede? ――

Outline of work

Instead of a design method that assembles from a program, think of "architecture that precedes things" that assembles a design from things. We analyze objects scattered in the city, build architecture from the possibilities of things, and experiment with the potential of one wholeness of architecture born from it.

Go Tell Aunt Rhythm

Focusing on the culture of sharing things that are rooted in Japanese life, by expanding the range of human relationships, the consciousness of caring for the other person and valuing the environment is born from the housing complex, giving an opportunity to change the way of working. ..

Autonomous workshop

The place where there is a spontaneous relationship will have more meaning than the asset value in the future. Therefore, we propose a plan to promote the circulation of people and develop the city by the behavior of people. The system that encourages this begins with a workshop that connects to the housing complex. We plan an autonomous workshop that functions as a shared asset in terms of software by sharing the act and opportunity of "making" such as painting and running a bakery. By having the "creating" residents act as interpreters and collaborating with local people, we will create a better environment without hindering rights and generate new values for vacant houses in the surrounding area.

A hotbed for learning

We propose an apartment house that has innumerable scenes through things by pouring in things of all ages and regions where multi-generational and multi-national people live and thinking about how to disperse them.

Fragrance Ceremony Place-Kagubasho-

Today, the city is homogenized due to the increase in high-rise condominiums, and the community is diluted. However, in the old downtown area, the alleys were flooded with things, and the things became part of the building, and the things shared the space and kept a loose sense of distance from the neighboring house, creating an environment full of humanity. By spatializing the passages and stairs in the downtown area, the environment where people help each other and share things at the front door, as a "Kura", people gather around things and the downtown landscape as a community is modernized. I thought that it could be reconstructed.

Price increase in the city

A proposal of a community that connects the + and-development of the city by treating the things left in the vacant house as "mountains from the sky", improving and improving them, and sending them to those who need them newly.

The accumulated memories are overflowing, and ...

A room is created by stacking things that have increased as people get older. Those that cannot fit in will overflow to the outside and will be used by other residents, and their memories will be inherited.

Collection-Connection

"Things" connect people with each other. This plan proposes the ideal way of the community by the realization of individual hobbies = "collection", and gives the streets of a certain local city a connection by "things" peculiar to the place. Utilizing the face-to-face and linear spatial structure of the existing shopping district, we will build an infrastructure = "collection passage" to induce the formation of a community by hobbies. The collection that sleeps in the house is reborn as a color of the surface of the house, attracting people to each other. The individuality that sleeps in the region is manifested throughout the street by the expression of the façade, which is a collection of collections, and over time, a community unique to that region is created.

Futokoro Monogatari

In the city, there is a margin (Futokoro) that receives the monogatari born from many people, things, and things. Isn't the current apartment house completed individually and closed to the outside? Therefore, insert the hoods on the top, bottom, left, and right between the rooms. Futokoro accepts the monogatari that overflows from each room, connects the city, the house, and the people, and shares the air and light through the Futokoro to create a new relationship in the city.

Soft No, everyone's things

I considered an apartment house like a warehouse in a city, which is composed of "shelf" to store things. In the flow of time, things increase and decrease and move repeatedly, creating an unexpected landscape. The shelves can be seated, but they are small for a living space. The number of people who live in the flow of time increases, and the territory expands unconsciously. You may unknowingly share a territory with your neighbors.

Apartment house that allows various things

The conditions for the architecture to breathe vigorously are shown below. "Large" ... Wide means that there is a place to accept various things. Looseness is important for breathing. "Spatial composition like a tree branch" ... A tree branch branches from a large trunk to a thin branch. This generation process will be replaced with a spatial composition that branches from a large space to a small space. "Being in the city" ... Having the architecture in the city allows various "events" depending on the surrounding environment. Architecture that reflects "events" will be lively.

Attic wisdom

A place for sharing through books. It's probably a wasted space. The possibility of creating new value that could not be understood by one person. I think there is a community for that. There is a community in the place where many old bookstores gather. This would be a mechanism of self-sustaining symbiosis. They hold a secondhand book exchange and ask someone to find a book that doesn't sell in their store. While each store is complete, it creates new value in the books that it has left over. Think of a house where people who like books can live together. A place where you can meet new books with surplus life and change the quality of life a little. New ways to connect in your home with your neighbors, your family, each and every one of you through books.

Asakusa / Bring-in temple

Taking advantage of the land of the Sumida River and the small highlands, Asakusa created a culture by having merchants set up various businesses, and developed into the center of commerce in Edo. However, modern Asakusa has gained stability in commerce due to the standardization of tourist destinations, but the former free commerce is fading. We propose architecture that allows the gimmicks of merchants, which is the driving force of Asakusa's newness, by combining commerce with the temple and shrine space rooted in the city of Asakusa.

Algorithmic Architecture

Algorithm architecture is a design method that uses information processing technology and involves fine discrete processes with fine resolution, and redefines the relationship between nature and humans, and the relationship between nature and act = artificial construction. Nature is an infinite continuum, but when human interpretation is added to it in the process of design, it is inevitably "discretized" into finite elements. An algorithm is also a method for discretizing and understanding nature, but unlike the conventional coarse resolution discretization process up to modern times, it discretizes nature with finer resolution and nature as a continuum. It is an attempt to get as close as possible to itself.
